Final Four

Louisville played well, never really threatened.

Now on to KU-Ohio State.

  1. 11:06 in 1st: Kind of getting some tough calls against them.

  2. It’s not the calls, though those are bad. It’s a series of horrible decisions on the offensive end and the inability of Ohio State to miss a shot. This is not a game we deserve to be competitive in.

  3. At the half: this game is bullshit. It’s not fair to be losing to a team that’s playing much better.

  4. Rojas #2: What’s infuriating about KU this year is how stupid they get when they get in a hurry on offense. Which is weird, since this should be a team where the offensive decisions are reeeal easy – hit Taylor on transition, if not, set up, feed to Robinson, if boxed out, kick out, restart process. Why that isn’t the Game Plan #1 on every possession is beyond me.

  5. And I have to say Taylor is one of my least favorite KU players in ages, although every time I start screaming out loud when he takes a shot he shuts me up by magically making it.

  6. Taylor is a big shiny Ferrari that crashes into a telephone pole about four times a game. He is also at his worst in the closing minutes of a close game.

This Jayhawks team has marginal sweet-16 talent. They lost to Davidson in what amounted to a home game, and it was no fluke. It is a miracle of grittiness and excellent coaching that they’ve been able to get to this point; we’ve basically been playing with house money for two rounds. I can’t be too broken up about a loss tonight.

  7. I reserve the right to be broken up if KU gets their asses handed to them – they are at the very least better than that.
Taylor is just like every other KU point guard, hot or cold. We’re cursed. Do you remember Ryan Robertson? –Sarah

  10. I would just like to relink the liveblog to the 2008 championship game. The Rojas Story Arc alone is worth it.

  11. It was a pretty good game considering that, according to the NCAA, it never happened.

  12. The social media is alive with hatred for Aaron Craft and his smug, entitled, plump little face. How is it possible that this little twerp isn’t wearing a Duke unform?

  15. Elijah Johnson is every bit as clutch as Tyshawn Taylor isn’t. Just absolutely fearless in big situations.

  16. TWO ABSOLUTLEY BULLSHIT CALLS ON THAT SEQUENCE. THAT WAS THE GAME, AND IT WAS TAKEN FROM US.

  17. National. Championship. Game.

  19. Same coaching matchup as 2008. Worth noting: given Calipari’s history, there is every possibility that Kansas just won the national championship. The only question is whether they get the trophy on Monday, or sometime in 2015 when the NCAA vacates all of Kentucky’s wins for recruiting violations.

  20. And Pittsburgh is still alive in the finals of the CBI!!!
