Georgia on My Mind

Russia and Georgia hostilities flare up.

This is a good time to announce that I’m planning to move to Russia this fall, if all goes according to plan. Perhaps as early as September.

  4. I am baffled that this isn’t the lead story in every media outlet. An increasingly imperialist Russia just invaded its freaking neighbor. This is the equivalent of a Chinese cross-channel assault on Taiwan.

    What are we going to do about this?

  5. I share your sentiment. Drudge doesn’t even have it in red text (though he does have Edwards admitting an affair in red). CNN has some shit on marijuana and the downed firefighter helicopter in California. Google News’s top story is Detroit’s mayor’s issues.

    The one bright spot is unsurprisingly overseas; the BBC is covering the events rather thoroughly and leading with it.
