The Grave
Brad and I used to be competitors in a series of online writing/roleplaying exercises. Many of our cohorts were very, very good creative writers. One of them has moved on to composing online comics; his first effort is up here. Check it out, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Is that Jeff? I once suggested we contact a friend of mine who draws comics about inking some of the Merc lines. I still think those stories would make good comic stories. I even considered organizing all the merc/equinox stuff into an easily readable (publishable?) format. We should have had the foresight to put a Creative Commons license on all of it.
Good to see others are still writing. Brad, how’s that coming for you? Rojas?

I don’t write anymore. People familiar with my work in this vein will recall that I have some ability to create interesting characters, and that I can START an interesting plotline, but that I invariably lose interest in it before I finish it. What happened to The Ultra-Patriot? What was up with Rel Dega? I know, but you never will.
Half-finished projects do not a successful author make.

That’s Geoff. Null. I don’t know that he ever got into the other games. (I’m right, that’s Geoff, right?).
It was one of the few (only?) shared endeavors where I found myself marginally better than Rojas. And it was close (and mostly due to my follow through, which admittedly was mildly obsessive for a time).
Good times, in any case. Bookmarked the comic.

Yes, Geoff Wessel. And yes, Brad was better than I was. Sad that it hasn’t translated to political predictin’, but I guess he can’t be good at everything…

I’ll try to keep it in mind and follow up on it. It’s good. I’ve been reading some tradepaperback of classic comics (Dark Knight Returns, V for Vendetta, a new one called DMZ) and its fun to be reading comics again.
And Equinox and Merc were some of the most fun I’ve had in my life. Diplomacy is too, but let’s not go there right now.
