It’s a shame they cancelled the Golden Globe’s

Hillary would have taken every acting category hands down. This woman would pose for Playboy if it would get her elected. What is more amazing is that people bought into her “sniffles” moment. What an utterly shallow people we have become.

  1. I was watching her speech at the end of the night with my 4 year old daughter sitting on my lap. I scoffed at the performance and said “You are a such a fake piece of crop!” at which point my daughter points at herself and says, with sincere curiosity, “ME?” “No,no, honey, that fleshbag on TV that will say anything to get elected.”

    Ah, the joys of teaching civics as a parent.

    People vote for what they want the candidate to say, not what he actually says. I think this represents Adam’s point of view, assuming he does not support the war.

    The antiwar McCain supporters are indeed a mystery.

I supported the invasion; had I known there were no WMD (or thought it likely) I wouldn’t have supported it immediately, although Hussein still had to comply with UN inspections (so there may have come some military action afterward, after all). Once in, though, I think that some variety of ‘victory’ is essential; I did not support the Bush rhetoric on spreading democracy and I abhorred the administration’s incompetence in executing the post war (and I was concerned before the invasion about the lack of post-war planning, which misgivings I foolishly suppressed). I’ve been supporting McCain’s call for more boots on the ground since he was making it.
