		<description>Indeed.  I&#039;ve even caught shit from people for my Sullivan-fandom (it&#039;s on par with my Ebert fandom), but frankly, it keeps me sane.  Andrew Sullivan is my favorite political writers working today, I think, and it would certainly be no overstatement to say he directly inspired this blog.</description>

		<description>Sullivan is, indeed, a positive influence on the blogosphere. Not just because of his help in linking to us (although we can all agree that with that, he has enriched the blogosphere immeasurably) but also through his illustration that you don&#039;t have to be a deranged socon determined to return the world to a fictional 1955.

Surely, on that account, the socons can forgive his blatant attack on the sanctity of marriage, a God-given institution which is only protected by the legal restrictions requiring that only heterosexuals can get divorced. Erm, married.

Congratulations to Sully and his guy.</description>
