Spying at AT&T

The story on AT&T working with the NSA to divert calls and internet communication directly to them (illegally) is still live, with a number of legal cases pending. In the big one, the whistleblower that broke the cases gives a rare interview to Wired. Worth reading, if only for getting a grasp of how mundane it is these days to shred our civil liberties to pieces.

I’ll also take this opportunity to give a shout-out to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, an imminently valuable group working to protect your digital rights.

By the way, this is our blog’s 500th post. Hooray!

  1. I donate to the EFF monthly. Their headquarters are 10 blocks from here. They took me on a nice tour one time. Their dog (a Newfie) is HUGE.
