…Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius would be buried under a swarm of Secret Service agents. FEMA has been doing their usual heckuvajob following the destruction of Greensburg; the latest charming detail is that their emergency trailer shelters appear to be contaminated with toxic levels of formaldehyde.
Crossed Pond was among the first blogs to discuss the ramifications of the Greensburg disaster on a possible Sebelius VP candidacy. You’ll find a documented chronology of Sebelius’ multiple requests for the return of Kansas National Guard equipment, all of said requests having come well BEFORE Greensburg. So it seems that Sebelius may not have been “seizing the moment” as much as saying “I told you so.”
With which, to be fair, the administration’s advocates beg to differ.
